I highly recommend River Rock Pools! I will start off that we hired another pool company and halfway through they walked off our job... Extremely upset, I reach out to Chuck Blackman at River Rock Pools. He was so kind and patient with us walking through fixing the mess our previous contractor had created. Our pool was finished at the beginning of August. It was beautiful and what we had dreamed it would look like! Then came Harvey. We flooded so of course our pool had fish floating in it...Chuck called to check on us and once he found out we flooded he assured us not to worry. Between Chuck and Mike they came over 8 to 10 times, cleaning and getting the chemicals where they needed to be without accepting ANY payment! I could not believe the way they gave of themselves. Til this day if I reach out to Chuck or Mike they answer right away and address whatever I may need. I really appreciate this company and the owners! Our river Rock Pool is over 7 years old now. We worked with Chuck on the design features and mike managed the construction which lasted a little over 30 days from breaking ground until filling. Never any problem with craft workers. Bottom line, if we were to do it all again, would we use River Rock Pools? Absolutely! When building a pool, like any other construction project, there will likely be issues but Chuck and mike delivered and we couldn't be happier with our pool.

Our River Rock pool is over seven years old now. We worked with Chuck on the design features (freeform shape, beach entry, spa, waterfall, raised tanning deck) until his sketches reflected our vision. Mike managed the construction which lasted a little over 30 days from breaking ground until filling. Never any problems with the craft workers. We provided a pot of coffee in the morning and water/gatorade throughout the day (sometimes a little appreciation goes a long way). When the gunnite truck blew a hydraulic hose, they immediately soaked up the spilled oil with sand and were back the next day with pressure washers to clean the whole street. Chuck recommended not cutting corners on the mechanical work (pumps, filter, returns, skimmers, salt cell, cleaner, controls). We went with his recommendations and have never had any issues with operability or water quality and we don't use a pool service. The pool is surprisingly simple to maintain; 4-5 bags of salt a year, 10-15 lbs of stabilizer in the spring, a quart of acid every 2 weeks, empty the skimmers and cleaner a couple of times a week and wash the filter cartridges (this is the worst job) 3-4 times a year. Because of the pool's age we are now starting to repair or replace items such as the filter cartridges, the salt cell, filter motor (possible lightning strike, the contactor shorted out also), cleaner rebuild. Manufacturer warranties are typically 1-2 years so, as I'm a handyman, I've addressed all these issues myself. A few hairline cracks have developed in the concrete decking but they disappear when we repaint every few years and some flagstone coping has loosened up due to the recent cold winters but a tube of epoxy caulking fixed that. Bottom line, if we were to do it all again, would we use River Rock Pools? Absolutely! When building a pool, like any other construction project, there will likely be issues but Chuck and Mike delivered and we couldn't be happier with our pool.

River Rock Pools is the way to go if you want good, quality work. They are very honest and helpful!

Mike and I have always tried to give every customer the best pool and experience possible. We have built over 40 pools in the Commons and over 60 pools in the Atascocita, Humble, Kingwood area. No excuse there was a crew who had a beer after work and they were fired immediately. We use only LED low voltage lights in our pools for safety.

This is construction and there can be issues but we have always tried to resolve quickly. In this case we tried many times but gates were always locked and couldn't access property.

As far as TS, when people make 20 changes on a pool and owes you $30,000 we stop the project. The statements are not correct and she doesn't know the difference between gunite and plaster.

Thank you for letting me defend my company. We wouldn't be in business for almost 12 years if we didn't build quality pools.
